HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after fire crews responded to two adjacent house fires in west Harris County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Cy-Fair Fire Department.
At 12:28 p.m. on Wednesday, Cy-Fair FD says crews received a call about a house fire. Upon the crews' arrival, they noticed that an exposure was already on fire, Cy-Fair FD said.
SkyEye13 was above the scene on the 5000 block of Walnut Cove Drive in the Deerfield subdivision, showing firefighters working to extinguish the fires.

Fire officials say that no one was at home in the initial house fire, but there was a woman in the second house, which was already exposed, authorities said. The woman was at home because she had air-conditioning technicians working in the attic. She later came out with a fire extinguisher and alerted the technicians, and they all exited the house safely with her two dogs, according to fire officials.
According to fire officials, many firefighters at the scene were tired after battling their third fire for the day. One firefighter was treated for heat-related exhaustion, but he is expected to be OK. No one was injured from the fires, according to authorities.
Cy-Fair FD officials say both homes were deemed a total loss after the fires.
According to Cy-Fair FD, power has been shut down due to the fires. Fire officials are urging residents not to call their power provider at this time.
The fire marshal's office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
